This is by FAR the best version of Farkle for Iphone!!! Im a Farkle fan on Facebook and this is better than Farkle on there. Awesome job to this game creator!
Great app. Only bad thing I can say about it...it is very slow. Speed it up and you have a five star app!!!
Im sad that I wasted 1.99 on this app. I think having to choose to bank points or roll, then having to click roll (because shaking takes a eternity) is a time waster. I also do not like that you do not have an option to play alone. Add a solo option and do something about having to touch so many buttons before rolling again.
Really great job guys. This is way better than the FB version that everyone is so crazy about. Thanks!!
My son and I play the non-electronic Farkle all the time. We downloaded and started playing this e-version by Patch, and cant put it down. Great app. Thanks!
This is a great wait buster for the family but also allows for solo play at too levels. I really like how it allows you to highlight the dice that you should choose incase you forget one of the more obscure scoring rules.
Thanks for the update to make the game move faster...excellent! Wish I could give the fun game more than 5 stars!
This game needs LOTS of patches! I just bought the " improved" version and it freezes constantly. None of the iPhone versions can hold a candle to the Smart Box Design version I have on my palm. That one has great graphics and runs fast and flawless. I sure wish Smart Box would make a version for the iPhone. This one is a waste of money.
First of all, when it comes to Dice games, a company named Motion X has spoiled me rotten. Not only do they have the prettiest unlockables on the planet, but the gameplay is incredible. The Motion X games are both based on Poker Dice. Being a fan of Dice games, there just arent enough on the App store. I wish someone would make one with all the unlockables and like 10 different dice games! SORRY, I AM RAMBLING!!! Back to Patch Farkle. It looked awesome to me, so I thought, " Here is my chance to own what seems to be an awesome Farkle Game! I first played it last night and 2 hours went by in what felt like 10 minutes. This game is incredible. I really have to give a lot of credit to the developers on this one. I wish the dice rolling would keep going as long as I push the roll button, but it seems to have a set amount of roll time. Another thing I would love to see are more styles of Tables / Backgrounds as well as many unlockable sets of Dice. This would keep the game alive for so long - Long term goals that really mean a lot for the player to keep playing. I must admit, before I got this game my understanding of Farkle was a little foggy, as other titles instructions were fairly tough to understand. Patch Farkle will teach you about the game VERY easily. I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Dice, Card, Casino, Strategy, or even Puzzle games. It owns a solid spot on my iPod for a long time, if not forever.
They say the computer is just as random of rolls but I bought this game a couple days ago, have played multiple times and have lost every time. It makes me mad because I know how to play the game!! Ive played it since I was little. In my opinion this is not worth the money. The effectsay be betrer buy colors wont substitute for an unfair game!
Love the app, the graphics and user interface are fantastic. Great work
This is the WORST Farkle game Ive ever played. ALL scoring dice must be removed after every roll! REALLY?!? That elminates all strategy and turns it into just a game of luck.
This is the worst app ever! Do yourself a favor and skip this one! And shame on Apple for allowing such a poor app to pass their, "stringent" quality control policies. I want my $2 back!
Uhmmm ... I bought this to learn how to play.. And it plays automatically and wont let me create a player.. And it freezes... Im disappointed!! : (
Good features but it plays soooo slow it it a total waste of your money! This is as of July 4th, 2010. I played it once and just made it on a full charge!!!
This app is extremely slow do you really need two load screens? As for game play when you shake your iPod to roll the dice it works half the time. Thank god I only paid 99 cents. Due to how poorly this app runs I will never purchase a patch app again. A note to who owns patch a 4 year old could program better. Fire them all and start new.
Very slow app. Doesnt even score correctly. Three ones is always 1000 points but here, its only 300. Waste of 99 cents.
Theres too many unnecessary clicks. 1. Save the game setup from the previous game. Im the only one playing this, but each time I have to choose the players not only for every time the app is started, but for every new game, even when I start a new one right away. 2. Just have the advanced gameplay setting. The basic is too restrictive 3. Whats most annoying is that the game play forces 3 clicks between rolls. I should be able to select the dice I want to score, then either click one button to score, or another button to bank. NOT 3 clicks to roll again. 4. Get rid of the "shake to roll" thing. Its too cumbersome and slow. Im not going to be shaking this phone for 10-15 minutes. Just because you can so something doesnt mean that you should. If you do that, then this app will have decent gameplay. Itd also be nice to have more user-configurable options, like auto-select scorable dice. To those complaining about 3 ones = 300 not 1000: there are many different scoring matrices. 3 ones =1000 is not based on the odds. In that matrix, 5 twos = 800, and a five-of-a-kind is 85x harder to roll than 3-kind. Aces is just another number, get over your fascination with them.
On the bottom of the rules are arrows that take u to further pages, there u find that a minimum of 500 points is required on your first turn before u can start banking your score.
